Who We Are
Nordale Outreach School is a primary school based in Nordale, Mtubatuba, in KwaZulu-Natal. We teach learners from Grade RR through to Grade 7, offering a full primary school journey under one roof. Our approach is rooted in the basics that matter most: reading, writing, and a strong work ethic, delivered by teachers who know each learner personally. Everything at our school is guided by our motto, "Striving to improve!", which shapes how we teach, how we support our learners, and how we grow as a school community.
Our Story
Nordale Outreach School opened its doors in 2016, established to give children in the Nordale community access to a quality primary school close to home. Since then, we have grown steadily: more learners have joined us each year, our teaching methods have been refined by real results in the classroom, and our offering has expanded to include Computer Studies alongside our core academic programme. What has stayed the same is our focus on the fundamentals, a school where every learner is given the attention and structure they need to improve.
The Nordale Advantage
At the centre of our teaching is a clear, structured reading journey that begins in the Foundation Phase. Learners start with two-letter words, then build towards full words, then complete sentences, and finally towards reading short stories on their own. This is not a once-off exercise; it is a method that is carried through every grade, so that reading confidence keeps building year after year, laying the groundwork for strong writing and clear thinking across every subject.
Grade 7: Ready for High School
By the time our learners reach Grade 7, the years of steady, structured teaching show. They read fluently, write clearly, and approach new challenges with genuine confidence. Just as importantly, they leave us with a strong work ethic, the habit of applying themselves consistently, that serves them well as they move on to high school.
Leaders of the Future
We want our learners to be ready for the world beyond the classroom. Computer Studies is already part of our curriculum, giving learners practical, hands-on exposure to technology as part of their everyday schooling.

A Well-Balanced Education
Learning at Nordale Outreach School goes beyond the classroom. Our learners take part in soccer and netball, giving them the chance to build teamwork and fitness alongside their studies. Throughout the year, we also mark the calendar with beach days, colour runs, fun days, and cultural events, giving learners opportunities to enjoy their school years, build friendships, and celebrate who they are.
